Year 2015 is about to end and my heart is full of praise for God. My family has literally walked by faith each day of this year.
I would say that I am never the same as I was in 2014. This year brought much growth and for that I am more than grateful to God.
It would have been impossible to carry on living for Him and in Him without His mercy and unconditional love.
Not all our days were perfect. Times came when we felt like giving up but His Word nourished our soul daily with joy in our sorrows, strength in our weakness and faith upon His sovereignty and omnipotence in periods of our unbelief.
Not all our days were full of blessings. Times came when we were tried to our wit’s end but we praise God for granting us victory over our trials through the name of the Lord Jesus.
Just like what Paul said,
8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; 10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. 11 For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. 12 So then death worketh in us, but life in you. 13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; 14 Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. 15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. (2 Corinthians 4:8-15, KJV)
Indeed, my family’s desire in 2015 was to give Him the honor and glory He deserves in the laurels of our victory and even in times of our testings.
It is our prayer that it will be the same in 2016. We pray that our hearts will be filled with a desire for intimacy with God, prevalence in prayer, victory in testings, humility and faithfulness in service and simply a heart on fire for Him. May He continue to kindle the flame in our hearts so we can enjoy our relationship with Him.
What are your wishes this 2016? Let us pray that God will be exalted in all our desires for next year.
